Introducing the NerdyTips Bet Builder: AI-Powered Slips, Built in Seconds

Bet Builder screen shot from NerdyTips

For years, the single most common piece of feedback we’ve received at NerdyTips has been the same: “Your individual predictions are great, but I want to build accumulators from them — and doing it by hand is a pain.”

We agreed. So we built something to fix it.

The NerdyTips Bet Builder is now live. It does exactly what you’d expect a good slip-builder to do: you tell it what kind of accumulator you want, and our prediction model assembles it for you in a few seconds. No hunting through fixtures, no copying picks across tabs, no second-guessing whether a leg is good enough to include. Just a clean, AI-built slip every time.

You can try it right now at nerdytips.com/bet-builder — no signup required for the free tier.

What the Bet Builder Actually Does

The simplest way to describe it: you pick the odds you want, and we pick the matches.

You set a target combined odd — anywhere from a careful 2.0 to an ambitious 150. You choose how many picks should go into the slip, or let us decide automatically. You select which markets are in scope. You tell us how confident the prediction model needs to be before a pick is allowed in. Then you hit Generate.

Behind the scenes, our model scans every available match across the timeframe you’ve chosen, scores each one for value and confidence, and assembles a slip that hits your target while only using picks above your quality threshold.

You get the slip. You see why each pick was chosen. If you don’t like it, you regenerate.

That’s the whole product.

How It Works, Step by Step

The interface is built to be self-explanatory, but here is what each control actually does and how to think about it when you’re using it.

Target odds

The first slider sets the combined odds of the slip you want. Drag it up if you want a longshot. Drag it down if you want something safer. The assembler will try to land as close to your target as possible while keeping the picks high-quality.

If the target you’ve asked for is mathematically impossible given your other settings — say, you’ve asked for 100x with conservative markets and a high trust floor — we tell you immediately and suggest the smallest change that makes the slip feasible.

The “no target” toggle

If you’d rather not set a target at all, there’s a toggle that disables the odds target entirely. The assembler then ignores the target and just hands you the best picks it can find under your other filters. The combined odds come out wherever the math lands.

This is one of the most powerful modes for risk-averse bettors — it tells the system “I don’t care about the payout, I care about quality.”

Number of matches

You choose between preset pick ranges (2-5, 5-10, 10-15, 15-20), pick Auto, or set an exact count between 2 and 25.

Pick ranges paired with Auto work especially well. If the model finds seven high-confidence picks within your target, you get seven. If it finds twelve, you get twelve. We never pad the slip with weaker selections just to hit a number you set without knowing what was available that day.

Markets

Eight markets are supported: 1X2, double chance (1X, X2, 12), Over/Under 1.5, Over/Under 2.5, Over/Under 3.5, Both Teams to Score (BTTS), and team-specific markets (home or away to score 1+, 2+, or stay under 1.5/2.5).

You decide which are in scope by checking or unchecking them. Want a slip made entirely of Over/Under picks? Uncheck everything else. Want full market diversity? Leave them all on.

Different market mixes produce noticeably different kinds of slips. 1X2-heavy slips are high variance. Over/Under-heavy slips are more correlated across a match week. BTTS slips have their own rhythm. Try them.

Match window

Today only, today plus tomorrow, or any (a 3-day window). Pick the timeframe that fits how many fixtures you want in the candidate pool.

On a busy weekend, “Today” is plenty. On a quiet midweek, stretching to three days helps the assembler find enough quality picks to actually work with.

Min model trust

This is the most important slider on the page.

Every pick our model produces comes with a trust score — essentially the model’s confidence that the pick will land. The trust slider sets the floor: only picks above the threshold are allowed into your slip.

– 60-70: solid picks, good for balanced slips
– 80: strong confidence, lower variance
– 90+: bankers — very heavy favourites with low odds but very high hit rates

Move it up for safer slips. Move it down for more adventurous ones. The single biggest thing you can do to shape the character of your slips is to actually use this slider rather than leaving it on default.

Min and max odd per pick

These two sliders bracket the odds of each individual leg.

The minimum filters out heavy favourites that drag the total payout down without adding meaningful probability. Set it around 1.20-1.50 if you want value picks; leave it at the floor if you don’t care.

The maximum caps each pick at a level you’re comfortable with. 1.50-1.80 keeps you in heavy-favourites territory, 2.00-2.50 is balanced, 3.00+ wanders into longshots.

Only important leagues

Toggle this on and the assembler restricts itself to top European competitions — Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Champions League, Europa League, and the equivalent tiers.

It’s the right toggle when you want your slip composed entirely of matches you’re likely to watch.

Only decreasing odds

When the odds on a pick drop sharply, the market is reacting to information — a starting lineup, an injury, a sharp betting pattern. This filter restricts the slip to picks where the odds have moved in the right direction recently, which tends to surface higher-confidence selections.

What’s Under the Hood

The Bet Builder is just an interface on top of the prediction model we’ve been training and refining for years. Every match in our database is scored daily across every available market, and each pick gets a trust score based on:

– Recent form for both teams
– Head-to-head history
– xG and xGA across recent fixtures
– League context — home/away patterns, league averages
– Schedule density and fatigue signals
– Lineup and injury information when available
– Market movement on the pick itself

The Bet Builder doesn’t generate predictions — it assembles slips from predictions the model has already scored. The intelligence is in the model. The Bet Builder just makes those scored picks accessible in slip form, instantly, around the odds you actually want to win.

A Few Habits That Make a Real Difference

The interface is designed to be usable from your first session, but a few habits separate users who do well with the Bet Builder from users who treat it as a black box.

Lead with the odds target

Decide what payout you want before you decide what matches to include. The whole point of an assembler is that the slip is built around your target — if you don’t have a target, you’re not really using the tool, you’re using a fancy random-picker.

Actually use the trust slider

The default trust floor is sensible, but it’s not optimal for every day or every appetite. On days you want bankers, drag it up. On days you want some variance, drag it down. Don’t leave it on default forever.

Don’t fight the slip

If you’ve set sensible parameters and the Bet Builder has produced a slip, that’s the answer. Removing a leg “because you have a feeling” is exactly the failure mode the model is designed to prevent. If you don’t trust the slip, change the parameters and regenerate — but don’t manually edit individual legs.

Accept that some days are quiet

When the Bet Builder returns “not enough matches fit your filters”, that’s not the tool failing. That’s the tool refusing to give you a bad slip. Loosen one filter, regenerate, or come back tomorrow.

Free vs. Premium

The Bet Builder is free to use, with a few sensible limits for free accounts:

– Target odds max out at 2.0 (premium unlocks all the way to 150)
– Trust floor maxes out at 30% (premium goes to 100% — the banker zone)
– Pick count locked to Auto (premium unlocks all pick ranges and exact counts)
– All 8 markets included but can’t be unchecked (premium lets you customise the market mix)
– Min/max odd per pick locked at defaults (premium unlocks both sliders)
– Match window limited to “Today” (premium opens tomorrow and the 3-day window)

Free is enough to try the product and see whether it fits the way you bet. Premium unlocks the full control surface for serious users.

Why We Built It

We had two motivations.

The first was that our prediction model has been producing high-quality individual picks for years, but most of our users want to play those picks in accumulators rather than singles. Without a slip-builder, that meant manually copying picks across tabs and hoping you’d selected the best combination. The Bet Builder closes that loop — you stay inside our model the whole way through.

The second was that hand-built accumulators tend to suffer from a specific problem: the legs get added emotionally rather than analytically. A match you’re watching tonight, a team you support, a result you “feel” strongly about. Those legs are exactly the ones the model would never have included. By starting from a target and letting the assembler choose, you remove the worst kind of decision from the process.

The Bet Builder isn’t trying to replace your judgement. It’s trying to remove the parts of slip-building that are mechanical, error-prone, or emotionally biased — and leave you with a clean, model-backed slip you can actually evaluate as a single decision.

Try It Now

The Bet Builder is live at nerdytips.com/bet-builder. The free version is fully usable — you can have your first slip generated in under 30 seconds.

If you’ve been building accumulators by hand, this will save you real time. If you’ve never trusted accumulators because they felt random, the AI filtering gives you a starting point you can actually evaluate. Either way, we’d love to hear what you build with it.

Responsible Betting Note

The Bet Builder makes assembling accumulators faster, more disciplined, and more transparent — but it does not change the underlying maths of multi-leg betting. Accumulators have lower hit probabilities than singles, and stake sizing matters more than slip cleverness. Set time and money limits before you start, never bet more than you can afford to lose, and treat every slip as entertainment first.
